Mary always treated the firefighters that came in the Big Pig as her own sons and daughters. We enjoyed Mary's jokes and playfulness. She watched out for us. I looked forward going to the Pig because of Mary. She touched the lives of many people, that you the family, will never know. I miss her.

I got to know Mary while working at Piggly Wiggly. She made working there a pleasure. If Mary was working you knew the day would be filled with laughter. To the family, remember life. Think about all the moments that were shared and God will bring you through.

To Vashon, George and Knight Family

Mary was truly a blessing to me growing up & working at Piggly Wiggly. I always enjoyed the times I was blessed to spend with her. When I come home, I would always go to the Pig in the morning just to visit her. I love to hear her crack a joke to always make me laugh. Mary was a inspiration to us all and I will truly miss her. I will pray that the Lord will comfort the family in this time of grief, but remember to celebrate the wonderful life she lived. God Bless!!!!

I've known Mary a long time but I really got a chance to know her while working at Piggly Wiggly. She became my momma at work. I acquired my customer service skills by observing how she interacted with customers. I was always happy to open the store with her because I knew there would never be a dull moment. I'm going to miss her wit and charm. She's in a better place now but I hate that she couldn't stick around a little longer. Vashon and George, I pray that you find strength during this time. Weeping may endure for night but joy cometh in the morning. Celebrate your mom's life. I'm sure that's what she would've wanted.

To Vashon and the Knight Family:

There is nothing to compare

with the loss of a loved one,

and only those who have known such a tragedy can truly understand

your sorrow. Though words may be meaningless right now, may you find some comfort in the love and concern that surround you from so many who deeply care.

May God continue to bless you and your family in your time of need.

To the Knight Family,

When I learned of Mary's demise I was sad, but I know that when one lives in the Lord one dies in the Lord, then my heart began to feel relieved because Mary is not lost she is with the Lord. Please know that you will be in my prayers. Sometimes words can't really say what the heart's feeling but I will try by saying You have my deepest Sympathy ."Trust in the Lord and lean not unto your understanding because in the flesh we cannot understand death in its fullest.Give it to the Lord and see Him put the smile back on your face and peace in your heart. God's speed.

Love,

Rev. Josephine Prioleau-Richardson and family.

To The Knight Family,

I would just like to say be encourage God is still in control. He said in his word that he will never leave you nor forsake you. He will give you peace that surpasses all understanding. I met Ms Mary in 2000 at Piggly Wiggly. I was her Front End Manager. She was always smiling and very helpful. Because I was in my early 20's and looked as if I was about 16yrs old, she was one out of very few that actually listen to me and helped me out. Ms Mary always looked out for me. She will truely be missed.

Be Blessed
