I am remembering my Mary as I write this message. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to sit and talk with Mary about the goodness of God. We talked and laughed about the "good times" that we shared over the years on the District 23 Constituent School Board, our travels to meetings, our shopping habits (suits and shoes), our friendship, and most of all my wedding (such a beautiful bridesmaid). I will always cherish and remember everthing that we shared together. I know that Mary knew the Lord for herself, we always talked about our relationship with the Lord. As, I write these words of condolences, I know that Mary is home at last. I will certainly miss her, always sharing a word of advice, comfort or just everyday conversation. What a good freind! Mary will always live in my heart. In closing, to the entire family, I feel your loss. My dearest Mary is asleep with Jesus. Love Always,

To My Loving Family William Holmes and children in the passing of Mary. She has definitely impacted this world from the moment she entered it. She completed her work and I'm certain that God is telling her "well done my good and faithful servant enter into your rest and mansion I have prepared for you". We all know she has struggled and fought hard on this journey as you have been by her side faithfully through this and May God bless you mightily for your faithfulness. She is now smiling in glory as she is reunited with her loved ones and most importantly she is with Jesus receiving her rewards and crowns. We will all miss her so much for she was the example of servanthood that we all must follow. Mary we love you and miss you so much. Until we see you soon in the Rapture hold our spot in Glory!

To the Holmes and Brown family,
It saddened me to hear of Judge Holmes' passing. Over the years, she was truly an inspiration and served as a personal mentor throughout my life. I am appreciative for the wisdom she instilled in me and the encouragementshe provided from high school to college to law school, and I thank you for sharing her with so many that she came into contact with, Her zest and motivation for the young people in our community to succeed touched many and inspired within us...the want to soar to higher heights. It hurts to know that I will no longer be able to physically communicate with my dear friend, and I can't imagine that loss that you personally feel at this time. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time, and that if you lean on God he will mend your broken heart,

I am deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Mary B. Holmes. She was my friend, mentor, and co-worker. She touched my life in so many ways and I am grateful for the memories of laughter that we shared. I was only one of her clerks. To the family of Mary B. Holmes,
In time like these, we need to seek strength and look toward the hill from where our help comes from, the Lord.
I met Mary in the late 80’s at Trident Technical College, Palmer Campus as a new student. I can remember her as a kind hearted and witty person who was the lover of food, fun and laughter. One of her favorite saying was “before food shall waste, gut will burst”. I can still picture her on Fridays as she attends court with her face all made up and we would tell her that she has her war paint on ready to do her job as a judge. That will be the Mary Holmes I will always remember in my heart and spirit.
Family for comfort read Psalm 37:5, which says "commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him and He shall bring it to past.

To the Holmes Family;
You have given us all such a wonderful person to love and remember in the days to come, she will still be loved, never, ever forgotten. I know you are feeling so lost right now because she is no longer in your presence. Just, if you can, think of her in the presence of GOD now , smiling that big, beautiful smile that she has. She is truly home now. Continue to go through life knowing that she has touched so many people with her angelic spirit and heart. She has left a genuine smile over all she came in contact with. Now, she is in God's hands and he will take great care of your Wife, Mother, our Friend, and my Line Sister. She is Safe now, safe in his arms.

I've Changed My Address
I've changed my address to Heaven,
I've crossed the Great Divide.
I know there's no sorrow or crying,
Because I've reached the other side.
I am so happy to be here,
For the Lord himself I see,
I've changed my address to Heaven,
I bid this world goodbye,
I now live forever with Jesus
In my new home in the sky,
I have no burdens or heartaches
And from tears I am now free.
I've changed my address to Heaven,
I'm safe forevermore.
For the Lord built a mansion
And my name is on the door.
You can find us walking together,
For where He is I'll always be,
I've Changed my address to Heaven,
That's the place you'll find me.
I will miss all of our talks and your encouraging words you gave me as we traveled to Trident. I will forever love you

Life is but a Stopping Place
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord

Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
