Mary "Polly" DeWitt Hoffmeyer MILLS RIVER, NC - Mary "Polly" DeWitt Hoffmeyer passed away at her home in Mills River, NC, on July 11, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Henry G. Hoffmeyer of Mills River, NC and her daughters, Gayle Baird (Alan) of Dublin, Ireland, Judy Longshaw of Rock Hill, SC and Suzanne O'Donnell of Mills River, NC and seven grandchildren: Alastair Baird, Andrew Baird, Lauren Baird, Kenneth Longshaw, Mary Longshaw, Elizabeth O'Donnell and Evan O'Donnell. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel, Hendersonville, NC officiated by the Reverend Jeff McCumber. Her family will receive friends following the service. A funeral service will also be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 at Pisgah United Methodist Church, Florence, SC. Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
