Mary Guy Obituary

Mary Susan Brunson Guy MONCKS CORNER - Mary Susan Brunson Guy, 88, of Moncks Corner, SC, entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 27, 2015. Mary Susan was born on November 23, 1926, in Marion, SC, a daughter of the late Mathew Junie Brunson and Virginia Davis Brunson. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lloyd Grady Guy, a daughter, Nancy G. Comstock of Moncks Corner, preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Mathew Guy. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Winthrop College in 1948, as well as graduate studies at Coker College. Her teaching career began at Aynor High School. She moved to Camden, SC in 1950, where she taught for 31 years in the Kershaw County school district. She retired in 1981. She was a member of Lyttleton Street Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge player associated with several bridge clubs. One of her greatest joys was vacationing at the beach. She was an exceptionally gifted seamstress, using her talent with passion and always giving to others with her heart. During World War II she served our country as a lookout for enemy ships and planes. She was much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
