Mary Garforth Obituary

Mary Garforth CHARLESTON - Mary "Dee" McAllister Cushing Garforth, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Chapel at Bishop Gadsden, 1 Bishop Gadsden Way. Inurnment will follow at the Bishop Gadsden Columbarium. Dee had a blessed life filled with love and adventures, and she will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years, Edmond Cushing, and by her husband of almost 20 years, Ezra "Bud" Garforth. She is survived by her son, Eddie Cushing (Lori); her daughter, Doreen Haughton-James (Mark); four grandchildren, Ashley Cushing, Allison Sears (Lee), Alec Haughton-James (Kayli) and Jordan Hickey (Kevin). She also leaves behind 3.5 great-grandchildren. Arrangements by JAMES A. MCALISTER, INC. (843) 766-1365.
