Mary Feldman Obituary

Mary Feldman CHARLESTON - Mary T. Feldman, a mother, grandmother, and serial entrepreneur, passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 68. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 14, 1956, Mary was a woman of creativity, vision, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference in the world. A proud graduate of Tulane University, Mary cultivated a lifelong love of learning and exploration. She channeled her diverse talents into a successful career as a businesswoman, founding several companies in consumer goods and hospitality. Her entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by her dedication to giving back to the community, most notably through the creation of Blues in the Schools, a nonprofit that introduced young people in the Charleston, SC, community to the rich history of blues music while fostering creative expression and cultural awareness. Mary was known for her warmth, intelligence, and generosity of spirit. She had a deep love for her family, and her legacy lives on in them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Beverly Touff, of Boca Raton, Florida. She is survived by her son, Aaron Feldman, daughter-in-law, Alana Feldman, and her two granddaughters, Sienna and Summer Feldman, all of whom reside in New York City. Mary is also survived by her sister, Susan Cole, brother-in-law, Jeffrey Cole, and her niece, Cece Cole. Her life was one of purpose, joy, and impact, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. A private memorial service will be held in her honor.

I am shocked and saddened when we found out today, how long Mary has actually been gone. I spoke with her frequently and recently became aware that I hadn´t heard from her in a long time. I can´t believe she is gone.
I´m struggling to figure out why she didn´t call me. I miss her already. I loved her very much and we could always talk about our memories growing up together in Northbrook.
We would reminisce about my parents, Jerry and Millie Albert and how much we both missed them.
I am heartbroken and how I wish she would have called me.
RIP Dear Mary. I will think of you every day as I do my beloved son.

I still can´t believe you´re gone. I know it´s selfish, but I miss you every day.

You were smart, passionate, soulful, and resilient. Your strength and spirit were unmatched, and your presence filled every room. You challenged me, supported me, and knew me in a way no one else ever could.

Life feels so much less without you in it. I will always miss you.
