Mary Davis-Selby Obituary

Mary Lou Davis-Selby MONCKS CORNER - Mary Lou Brown Davis-Selby, 79, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired computer lab instructor at the Berkeley Middle School, died Sunday evening at a North Charleston hospital. Her funeral will be 1:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, May 22, 2013, in the First Baptist Church, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in the St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery, Pinopolis. The family will receive friends at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM this Tuesday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the St. John's Baptist Church, C/O First Baptist Church, 112 East Main St., Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Mrs. Selby was born August 21, 1933, in Bishopville, SC, a daughter of Henry E. Brown, Sr., and Lougenia Mathis Brown. She was a graduate of Berkeley High School and the Continental Telephone/Telegraph School. She also attended Baptist College, the College of Charleston, and Trident Technical College. Mrs. Selby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner where she was a former nursery worker and choir member. She was also a member of the Berkeley County Coral Society, a former greeter at the Berkeley County Administration Office, and formerly substituted at St. John's Christian Academy. Mrs. Selby was the widow of N. Eugene Davis. Surviving are, her husband, Ron C. Selby; a son, Greg E. Davis and his wife, Laurie, of Moncks Corner; a sister, Helen B. Lukow of Moncks Corner; a brother, Henry E. Brown, Jr., and his wife, Billye, of Hanahan; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rob Davis. Greg and family,
