Mary Clarke SUMMERVILLE - Mary "Louise" Clarke, 89 years old, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2022 in Summerville, SC after a lengthy illness. She was a true, faithful, and loving wife for 65 yrs to her husband, Carroll L. Clarke. She was born and raised in Morgantown, WV and graduated from Morgantown High School. There, she worked in a glass factory for many years. She married in Cumberland, MD and after moving to Summerville, she worked 15yrs in a clothing factory until she retired. She gave birth and raised three sons, Robert Clarke of Summerville, Jeffrey Lynn Clarke of Sumter, SC and Bruce Clarke, who is deceased. Louise had one sister, Peggy Myers of Michigan and one brother, Donald of North Carolina. Louise and her husband joined Miles Road Baptist Church in 1979 and she remained an active member until her death. She was a true believer in her savior Jesus Christ. Louise loved to sing and became an active member of both the regular choir as well as the senior choir. She loved to cook and everyone wanted her carrot cake.
