Ellen and family,

You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Your mother was such a beautiful, loving woman who will be missed by all who had the priviledge of knowing her. I have the fondest memories of Mary that go back almost 50 years; one of them being how fast she could knit and crochet! Her peanut butter fudge recipe remains the best I have ever eaten and I can't help but smile when I think about her wonderful sense of humor. Her smile, spirit and goodness will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Mom (Bettie Merrill), Lynda (Merrill) Helser and I Nancy (Merrill) Verser will be at the funeral home this Thursday evening.

You have my deepest sympathy.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
