Dear Muffy and family- Bob and I were so shocked and saddened to hear you lost Mary. While we lost touch over the past years, we stayed 'in touch' through Carol & Bill and know what a close friendship your families have. There are no words to ease the pain, but please know you are in our prayers

I am so sorry to hear about Mary's death. We went to school together and that was a long time ago! We have kept up with each other over the years sharing our child's stories and their journey through life. We both were so proud of our one offspring and all the good things ,and some not-so-good too. Then when the grands arrived we were so happy! We have kept up with each other even though I moved out of state to be closer to my grands.
I will keep Mary and her family in my prayers and hope you will be comforted knowing that she is now no longer suffering but maybe enjoying meeting her Mother, Father and Brother.

What a great teacher and wonderful person Mary was. Many years ago Mary was our son's 8th grade teacher. He had gone to summer school to repeat sixth grade math. She saw us in a restruant one evening and told us she didn't understand why that had happened, because he was such a good student. Because she took a special interest in him and made him realize how capable he was, he not only did well in her class, he won the math award that year. Mary was a caring person who always had the students' best interests at heart.She was in a Bible study group with Sheila once and they became close and were always glad to "catch up with things" when they would meet for years after. She had a unique teaching ability and gift for helping young minds to develop to their highest potential.

I enjoyed Mrs. Ball as my teacher at Harbor View Middle School 1970-1971. She was strict but always kind and I will remember her fondly as one of my favorite teachers. I used to see her from time to time on James Island and she always stopped to speak with me. I am so sorry for your loss as I know that she will be terribly missed.

Mary was a sweet person and great teacher.I really learned a lot from her,even thou I thought she was strict. She was cheerful,kind and loved life as well as her her family.I love you and will miss you. Annette Cook

Oh I am so sorry to here of your mother's passing. She was a wonderful teacher, and later a friend. Please know that she will live on forever in the students lives she touched.

I thoroughly enjoyed our times together with our dear mutual friend, Carol Carroll. You will be missed. RIP.

I am sorry for your loss. Mary Ball taught me at Harbour View. Very strict at that time, she had to be. Mary and I would run into each other over the years and would catch up on each others lives. I know Mary will miss and be missed by her daughter, grandchildren and all others that knew Mary.
