Mary Anne was a very dear friend from years ago in Kiawah. We golfed together laughed together and enjoyed many meals in Gene and Mary Anne´s home. I have several baskets and trays that I cherish and remember vividly the continual help I received from both of them while learning how to make them in their garage. I cold go on about many great stories of times spent with the Witchgers. I love you both. Gene I send you many hugs in remembrance of our friendship. God bless. Carole and John Manning

I was lucky to get one of the Nantucket basket purses that Mary Anne and Gene made in their retirement at Kiawah. I still smile and think of her whenever anyone compliments it. She was a warm, kind lady that I was glad to call a friend.

Gene, I´m not sure that you know us, but occasionally we´d speak after church. I was so saddened to hear of your wife´s death. What a super woman she was. I wish I knew of all her
Accomplishments before now. She certainly had a full life. The
Two of you looked so devoted to one another. I know you will
Miss her greatly. You are in our thoughts & prayers.

There are no words to express my sorrow for you Gene and your family. Mary Anne was a fighter and a role model for all of us. Loved working with her as a volunteer counter at Holy Spirit. God´s blessings on all of you.
