Marvin Lark Obituary

Marvin Lee Lark Harleyville, SC - Marvin Lee Lark, 78, of Harleyville, husband of Phyllis B. Lark, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Friday at First Baptist Church of Harleyville with Pastor Jamie Cribb and Rev. Harry Scarborough officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service in the church. Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Greer, South Carolina. Marvin was born on September 29, 1943 in Spartanburg County, a son of the late Thomas Haskell Lark and Rosie Elder Lark. He was a self-employed painter and served in the US Army in Korea during Vietnam War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harleyville, Harleyville American Legion Post and Goose Creek Masonic Lodge. He was predeceased by siblings, Bobby Lark, William Lark and a great-grandchild, Harrison Howard. Surviving is his wife, Phyllis Burton Lark, Harleyville; a son, James C. (Arizona) DuBois, West Virginia; daughters, Michelle (Brian) Cooper, Lyman, SC and Stacey Dubois Pratt; four grandchildren, Matthew (Amber) Cooper, Stephanie (Cole) Howard, Cheyenne DuBois Pratt and Landon DuBois Pratt; and two great-grandchildren, Ryker Howard and Olivia Cooper.
