Val Asay Obituary

Val Egan Asay 1928 ~ 2009 Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Val Egan Asay, passed away Dec. 12, 2009 of congestive heart failure at the age of 81. He was born Feb. 27, 1928 to Lyle and Elsie Egan Asay in Delta, Utah. He was an Electronic Technician at Sears for 25 years. He worked for Macey's for seven years. He loved participating in and watching all sports. He especially loved watching his grandson Jalon play football and basketball. He loved being with his grandkids. He loved his wife Ione of 42 years, and would do anything for her. He loved the springtime so he could plant his flowers and took pride in his gorgeous yard. Val leaves behind his wife Ione, son Darren (Christine), daughter Alaina (Shane), nine grandchildren, brother Fred Asay and sister Lila (Mel) Merrill. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center, Provo, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to [email protected]

Dear Ione and family; You don't know me but I am a friend of Lila's. I am sorry for your loss. I would appreciate it if you would let her know that I send my condolances.
