Martha Ellen Spain Peavey N. Charleston - Martha Ellen Spain Peavey, 82, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Russell Clay Peavey, Jr., entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 15, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church, 5931 Murray Drive, at 3:00 p.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road. Martha was born February 19, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Delbert B. Spain and Jewel Lillian Stewart Spain. She was a member of Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church in Hanahan. Martha is survived by her husband of 64 years, Russell; three sons: Mark Peavey (Wanda) of Oak Island, NC, Michael Peavey of N. Charleston, SC and James Peavey (Kathy Jo) of Mauldin, SC; two sisters: Barbara Lucasey and Alice Paez both of Austin, TX; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
