This Thanksgiving, I am especially grateful for having "Aunt" Marcy in our lives. Her enthusiasm for life, her intelligent grace, and especially her warmth and love made us feel like "hers" as young ones and fashioned a splendid role model throughout the years. Our love for her extends now to her very closest loved ones.

Martha was my mentor and helped me develop a successful career in marketing and communications. When the going got tough, Martha got tougher no matter who, no matter what, no matter where and as a result, she achieved so much. I learned a great deal from her. A woman of great fashion, Martha followed her passion and left the executive ranks to work in a business she truly enjoyed. I suspect that completed her. Martha will always be in my thoughts.

I feel so sad... Marcy was the first friend I made in the USA. Many happy memories of fun times together in Cambridge and Boston, and also while we were dating and then first married to Jim and Bill respectively. Marcy was always so positive and upbeat. She was a wonderful godparent to my daughter Elizabeth. My sympathies to Mr and Mrs Gress and sister Bonnie. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Fondly, MARY

I met Martha while I was in college and learned how she had made her way in the communications field. I was impressed with her path from writing copy for a shoe catalogue to the a leader in the marketing department for an investment firm. I then had the honor and pleasure of working for Martha at Advest and at Aetna U.S. Healthcare. She served as a mentor for me as a young working woman. I am greatful for her kindness and will miss her dearly.

She is one of my mom's best friends and as a result, she was part of our family and called "Aunt Marcy" by all of us kids. I'm so grateful for her unwavering love and friendship that she gave to our family. I'm also incredibly grateful for the time that my mom and I got to spend with her in Boston this summer.

I want to send my love to her family, including Mr. and Mrs. Gress, Uncle Bill and Jacques. Aunt Marcy is (and always will be) a real treasured part of my life.

And these wonderful activities are the tip of the iceberg to our dear Martha. I miss her so much, being able phone her, share our thoughts and memories, planning visits. But I hope we all hear each other anyway. Besides the friendship we had, and my dear Skip, too, I'm grateful for the wonderful "presence" and influence she has always had in my childrens lives. So much love to Mr. and Mrs. Gress, Bonnie, Caitlyn, Becca, Jacques, Leah, Carolyn, Don, and of course! Bill and the girls! Bev
