Martha Abel Jones
Melber, KY - Martha Lee (Abel) Jones, 85 of Melber, KY, passed away February 3, 2026, at Passion and Purpose Homecare, in Almo, KY.
Martha was the daughter of the late Hugh McHenry and Velma (Langley) Abel. She was a homemaker and mother, and also worked part-time for Levi Strauss & Co. and the Manhattan Shirt Company. Martha and her late husband Danny Eugene Jones were members of the Summerville Church of Christ in Summerville, SC.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Garner, St. Martinville, LA; Kathy Dake, Marietta, SC; Brian Jones, Clyde, NC; Karen Ehleben, Melber, KY; and Jonathan Jones, Ladson, SC; a sister, Laura Mae Randolph of AL; grandchildren, Ali Garner, Natasha Webb, D.J. Garner, Kendall Price, Pete Price, Daniel Price, Alexander Jones, Samantha Abukhdair, Patrick Baker, Jacob Baker and Kiersten Baker; a sister-in-law, Roberta Sue Bolling, Bristol, TN; 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Danny Eugene Jones; and siblings, Jean Elizabeth Powell, Carl Daniel Abel, Howard Abel, Hugh Lynn "Buddy" Abel, James Thomas "Jimmy" Abel and William Fred "Freddy" Abel.
A service celebrating Martha and Danny will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Summerville Church of Christ, with Len Driskell officiating. Friends may visit with the family between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the church.
