Martha Jabara Obituary
Martha Jabara of McLean St., Wilkes-Barre, died Friday at the Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. She was born July 5, 1905, in Wilkes-Barre. Martha was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Nicholas Moses.
She attended Wilkes-Barre City schools. Martha was employed by Child Development, Wilkes-Barre, for many years and also at Foster Grandparent, Wilkes-Barre, for several years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Antiochian Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre, and also a member of Father Nahas Senior Citizens Organization, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by husband, George; brothers, Abe, George, Nick, Harry and Mike; sons, John, Samuel and Louis.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Anna Baroody, Geneva, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, 59 Parish St., Wilkes-Barre, with services at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Antiochian Orthodox Church. Friends may call at the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Hanover Twp.
