Martha Halbritter Obituary

HALBRITTER, Martha Entered into eternal rest on November 13, 2007, Martha Elaine Halbritter, beloved wife of William George Halbritter for 53 years. Residence, Charleston, SC. Relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Halbritter are invited to attend a memorial service of the latter in St. Andrews Parish United Methodist Church's Sanctuary, Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Eleven O'clock. Interment will be private. Arrangements by J . HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. Martha was born in Chicago, IL, June 27, 1932, the daughter of the late James K. and Martha Dickey. She was an accountant and co-owner of Coastal Lumber and Home Center, and a former volunteer worker at Drayton Hall and the Salvation Army in Mexico City. Surviving are her husband of Charleston, SC; 2 sons, William G. Halbritter, Jr. of Austin, TX, and Allen J. Halbritter of Hanahan, SC; 2 daughters, Cynthia Ann Goodrich of Seattle WA, and Sandra Lynn DeLara of Dallas, TX; 1 brother, Lewis Dickey of San Francisco, CA; 1 sister, Claire Cartmell of Phoenix, AZ; 5 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 4248 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC 29405. There are no words to be said that can mend your hearts during this sad time. I've always felt honored to be her daughter-in-law and I know beyond a shadow of doubt that there's a special spot in Heaven reserved just for her. We love you all and our prayers and thoughts are with you.
