Annette and Virgil, As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. One of few people I stood in awe of. We became friends in high school. He was was always on point with fashion, intelligence, & personality.

Marlin, it was a pleasure being your friend and Brother. We had some great times together. I will never forget those experiences. You are one of the smartest people I ever met. I think that was the thing that made us so compatible as friends. I know C'un Sandy and Virgil will miss you tremendously, but I also know that they have a lifetime of great memories with and of you. Rest in peace and know that it will be very difficult to forget you presence on this earth. Bon Soir mon ami!

I was shocked to hear about Marlon's passing...too young. He was a neighbor around the corner growing up. I was glad to see him a couple times in the last couple years. Nice guy. Wished I could have spent more time around him over the years. My condolences to the family.

Marlin and I worked side by side at North Charleston High School. I taught Spanish and he of course taught French. Dapper, kind, caring, giving, and with an amazing sense of humor. I know his students loved him so... I am just broken hearted by such a huge and powerful force who is no longer here and is needed so much during this incredibly tumultuous time in history. He has and had the power to change minds and lives. Please continue to guide us from your heavenly place. You are loved and missed so much.

Mr. Pryor was one of my favorite teachers of all time. He made me love learning the French language. I will never forget him and will always love and appreciate his presence in my life. RIP, Monseur Pryor.

Marlin was charming, handsome, and dapper. He loved his family, his students, and life. He taught me so much about life and will be missed.

May God’s healing grace come upon your family as you grieve this incredible loss. Marlin always had something uplifting to say. He would kid me in the sweetest way. I truly loved him as a wonderful friend. God must have important work for this angel. My love and sympathy.

Anybody who ever met Marlin *once* never forgot him, so I consider it a sincere honor and privilege to have called him a friend since our days working together at the City of Charleston. A true gentleman and scholar in the fullest sense of the expression. A unique soul like no other I have known. I will always cherish knowing him, as everyone who knew Marlin is better off because of it.

This was a consistently kind, respectful, and thoughtful brother. From school days until now he has always treated everyone the same. (very few). He will be missed, Rest in power.

Marlin was the friendly face that made sure my Knob year in T Company was as painless as possible, and he became the friend who would call or text though the last 30 years to let me know he was watching my personal and professional growth. We even spoke just a few weeks ago about ideas he had for his desires to launch another business idea. Who knew those would be our last chats? I’m just thankful that we shared those thoughts and laughs. He was one one of the best souls to grace this planet.

My heart is so heavy as I have been informed of the passing of Mr. Pryor. He was an amazing French teacher at North Charleston High School! To the Pryor family, you all will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. May God strengthen you during this difficult time as you grieve.

People judge the life you lived by the memories you leave and Marlin made so many people so happy. Everyone he came in contact with was enriched by his beautiful smile and infectious laugh. The pride in his parents mirrored the pride people had just for having known him and being blessed with his kindness. Vernon and I will miss him dearly and know that God has welcomed him to his reward in heaven.

This is very hard to take! You've always been a brother to me than a friend. You and your Mom have supported me and my children from the very 1st day that we met. I thank God for the many years of friendship that we've shared together. On day #3 of crying, I was able to set back and reflect on all the hollering you, Marcus and I did together. Memories that I could never forget. Our bond was strong and real to the end. I love you Uncle Marlin as my kids would say. I will see you again someday and what a time that will be!

Annette, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Marlin. I remember you speaking of him many times when we worked together at Bell South. Your voice was always filled with love and affection. My thoughts are with you.
