Marlene Benton Owens Pye HOLLYWOOD, SC - Marlene Benton Owens Pye, 83, of Hollywood, South Carolina, eternal rest on Friday, November 14, 2025. A memorial gathering will take place Saturday, December 6, 2025, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Marlene was born February 28, 1942, in Awendaw, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lonnie William Benton and Mollie Brockington Benton. Marlene loved her family and loved the outdoors, especially her lawn which was her pride. She is survived by her shack up, Clarence Pye; daughter, Sharon Pye (and her other half, David Moorer); grandchildren, Renea Ray (Freddrick) and Shay Spell; and great-grandchildren, Deneaja Ray, Tyshown Ray, and Jaden Ray. In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her children, Ronnie Pye and Lonnie Pye. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations can be made in Marlene's memory to a charity of one's choice.
