Marlene Sherman Odle Charleston - Marlene Sherman Odle, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA and Palm Beach, FL, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 20, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the graveside in Emanu-El Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Avenue, at 5:30 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. Marlene was born June 8, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Louis Sherman and Florence Rosenfield Sherman. She was a retired school teacher with the Pittsburgh City Schools and was a member of Hadassah. She is survived by her two sons, David Mark Odle (Mindy) of Charleston, SC, Larry Howard Odle (Bonnie Utley) of Denver, CO; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Odle (Gino Vitale) of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren, Roxanne Odle, Aspen Lucy Odle, Melissa Cofar (Jason), and Rachel Noyes (Dan); five great-grandchildren, Willa Cofar, Max Cofar, Molly Noyes, Lucy Noyes and Paisley May. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
