Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Born June 14, 1935, in Newark, Ohio, to the late Sale B. and Edith Debevoise McCullough, she graduated from Hebron High School, class of 1953. She met Robert while working in the payroll department at the Newark Stove Company. They married soon after and lived in Hebron, Ohio until they moved to Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina in 1977. She moved on from that role to that of mother and returned to the work force as office manager of City News Publishing Company. Marlene was also a past member and Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Hebron, Ohio. She will be remembered for the way she loved her family, friends and community. She volunteered at the South Carolina Aquarium, the Sewee Visitor & Environmental Education Center and with Robert, served as a greeter at Seacoast church. She is survived by her loving family: three daughters, three grandsons, and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her late husband of 67 years, Robert, and brothers, Roland McCullough, Gail McCullough, Clifford McCullough and Robert McCullough.
