Marlene Barlow Obituary

Marlene R. Barlow SUMMERVILLE - Marlene R. Barlow of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on August 17, 2014 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, George C. Barlow and their children, Karen M. Jeralds and fiance; Rob of Newport News, VA, David G. Barlow and wife Carrie of Summerville, SC, Gregory P. Barlow and wife Herminia of Mount Pleasant, SC, Christopher J. Barlow and wife Carol of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Marlene Lyons of Melbourne, FL. Marlene was born in Elizabeth, NJ on February 15, 1934 to the late Marie and Edward Lyons. Two brothers, Edward and Richard predeceased her. A visitation will be held Wednesday morning, August 20, 2014 from 11 o'clock until 12 o'clock at PARKS FUNERAL HOME, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. A funeral mass will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church located at 8 Sumter Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483 with cremation to follow. Interment will be at a later date at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in memory of Marlene to Carolina Hospice Care at www.carolinahospicecare.com.
