Mark Sorensen Obituary

Mark Steven Sorensen SUMMERVILLE - Mark Steven Sorensen, 59, husband of Nora Ready Sorensen, of Summerville, SC, died Sunday, August 10, 2014 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, August 14, 2014 at 2 PM at Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Parks Funeral Home Thursday afternoon from 12 PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Journey Church - Building Fund, PO Box 3392, Summerville, SC 29484. Mark was born March 9, 1955 in Greensboro, NC, a son of Bryan Oscar Sorensen and Juanita Melton Sorensen. He was a health food inspector for DHEC and he was a member of Journey Church. Mark was a beloved husband, brother and Pappy to his grandchildren. Mr. Sorensen is survived by his loving wife, Nora Sorensen of Summerville; two stepchildren, Steven Krooswyk (Brittany) of Cayce, SC, James Krooswyk (Heather) of Ladson; one brother, Michael Sorensen (Phyllis) of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and two grandchildren, Payton and Eli Krooswyk.
