My heart goes out to Dr. Lipton's family. Dr. Lipton was one of the kindest and compassionate people I have interacted with. I always looked forward to my eye checkups, and often left with a gift for my soul. When I went through a hard time with sudden onset Graves disease that brought on severe anxiety and panic attacks, Dr. Lipton provided hope and support to me. We shared books and learning related to the human condition, thriving and life lessons. He is a bright star still shining. May his life be a blessing as it surely was to me. Sincere thoughts and prayers for peace for family.

My deepest sympathy to all he was close to. Dr. Lipton was my optometrist for many years and I always looked forward to our annual chats. I spoke of him often when folks asked who cared for my eyes. A really good guy.

Mark Lipton was maybe the most positive, loving, and optimistic man I have ever known. I knew his battles and perseverance with illness as a teenager, and he, Morey, Sandra, his sisters, all showed us all how to take the good and the hard in life and deal with it all in a positive, humorous, loving way. I miss Morey and Sandra deeply, and now will be saddened that Mark´s wonderful bright life for all of us has moved on. He left the world a better place because of his radiance.

Dr. Lipton was my eye doctor since Middle School. I was then lucky enough to have his son in one of my classes as a teacher. He was a real mench, may his memory be a blessing.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have been a patient of his for 13 years and always looked forward to seeing him and sharing our recent good reads. He introduced me to Audible.com and put the app on my cell phone as I had no idea how to do so. I was sad to hear of his departure from the practice and even sadder to hear of his death. Best and friendliest eye doctor I´ve ever had. I will keep him and his loved ones in my prayers.

Dear Lipton family,
Mark was my partner, friend, and like a brother for 26 years together at Beach Eye Care. His enthusiasm for our patients and staff was uplifting and moving. We grew our practice together beyond our imaginations. Mark's love and devotion to his family was shared in many stories only he could tell so well. He was a proud grandfather and loved his grandchildren and having all his family together at his home. Mark is dearly missed by the Neatrour family. Love, Peyton, Leslie, Kristin, Katie, and Greg

Doctor Lipton was the first eye doctor who prescribed glasses for me that truly corrected my vision, and I still have them. He was so thorough, professional, calm and kind. I'm sure anyone who received services from him will remember his impact on their lives. My sincere condolences to Dr. Lipton's family. Sarah, a former patient.

Dear Rachel, Ellen, Joanie, Sharon, Ilene, Seth, Maya, Margaret, Catherine and family.
We have lost a sweet, sweet man. A wonderful father, son, grandfather (hard to believe!), brother, nephew, cousin and friend to so many.
I can recall having the pleasure of growing up across the street from the Liptons in South Windermere and watching Mark from birth to adolescence and then into adulthood. His illness in his adolescence took us all by surprise, but like everything else, he faced it head on and beat it. It isn't fair that this horrible disease came back to haunt him once again. But as Mark just said to me a few weeks ago when we last spoke, he had no regrets. He had lived a full and happy life with his family and even having the pleasure of having grandchildren!! And the Georgia Bulldogs were kind enough to win a National Championship just for Mark (the last time, 41 years ago was during his freshman year at UGA, if I remember correctly...) He was a Dawg through and through. But he was a Zionist too and the love of Israel instilled by Morey & Sandra was evident in his zeal for the Jewish state. He was always benevolent and a true and caring human being. He was a highly respected professional and confident that Ha Shem had a plan for him...and he was ready for the next chapter.
No one who knew Mark are ready for him to go...he will be sorely missed. His infectious laughter and smile broad as a river will forever be etched in my mind. I can only take solace in knowing that he is with Morey, Sandra and yes, my mother Marian, who adored him like her own son. Zichrono Livracha...May his memory be a blessing.
Love,
Andy, Phil & David Slotin and the Slotin family.
