Mark Kirkpatrick Obituary

Mark H. Kirkpatrick, Jr. CONWAY, SC - Mark H. Kirkpatrick, Jr. went to join his wife of 64 years, Clyde DuRant Kirkpatrick, in heaven on July 17, 2017. Mark was born on May 14, 1925 in Blenheim, S.C. He was a graduate of Clemson University and a major Tiger fan. During WWII he served on Naval airplanes as a radioman, searching for Japanese subs off the northwest coast of the US. Mark and Clyde lived in Conway, SC for 54 years where they were active in their church and community. Mark was a founding elder at Grace Presbyterian Church in Conway. After 26 years selling insurance for Liberty Life he retired which gave them time to enjoy camping and traveling. He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law: John and Lisa Kirkpatrick, Bill and Jalane Kirkpatrick, and Rick and Dianna Kirkpatrick; his six grandchildren and their spouses and significant others: Zack Kirkpatrick and Acadia Gagne, Rachelle and Joseph Adams, Ashley Kirkpatrick, Jessica Kirkpatrick, Richard and Brittany Kirkpatrick, and Michael Kirkpatrick and Ashton Medlin; and four great-grandchildren. Mark was my little league baseball coach, insurance agent and friend for many years. My prayer is with his family in their loss and time of grief at this time. He was my mentor and just a great blessing to all who knew him.
