Mark Harriott Obituary

Mark Carlisle Harriott EARLY BRANCH, SC - Mr. Mark Carlisle Harriott, 56, of Pocotaligo Road in Early Branch, SC died early Monday, September 28, at his residence after an extended illness. Born September 24, 1953 in Hampton County he was the son of Mrs. Dorothy Anderson Harriott and the late Dred Harriott. Mr. Harriott worked with Gibson Land Clearing for approximately 38 years and was a member of Deep Branch Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood carving. Surviving besides his mother of Cummings, SC is his loving wife of 29 years Terry Futch Harriott. This union brought forth one son, Christopher Mark Harriott (Jessica) of Early Branch, SC and two grand children: Kristen Elle Harriott and Jesse Carlisle Harriott of Early Branch. He is survived by one daughter: Stephanie H. Burrell (Shane) and three grandsons: Dylan, Holden and Jayton Brown all of West Columbia, SC, three brothers: Michael Harriott, Larry Harriott (Joyce) both of Cummings, SC, and Sam Harriott (Beth) of Yemassee, SC. There are two special friends: Anthony DeLoach of Varnville, SC and Nolan Mole of Cummings, SC. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 1st, 2009, at 11 a.m., in chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Danny Tuten. Friends may call at the funeral home located at 300 Mulberry St. West; Hampton, SC 29924 (803-943-3352) on Wednesday evening, September 30, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m., and prior to the service on Thursday. Memorials in his memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 158, Hampton, SC 29924. Aunt Dot, I just spoke with Cheryl and she told me of Mark's passing. I am so sorry. He was such a young man, I did not realize he had been sick. My condolences to the family. All of my love, Jeanne
