As we approach another anniversary of Betty's transition to Heaven, we wanted to let you know that we are thinking about you and hope that you are faring well. We know that life without your dear Betty cannot be easy. We are grateful to have known both of you and to have shared part of the journey with you. I am so glad that you called me to let me know of Betty's passing. I extend to you and all of the family my heartfelt sympathies. I know she is in a better place where no more pain or distress will bother her. Rest assured that she will be looking out for you and reserving a spot next to her for you in the future.

I wish Helen and I could come to the service, but Helen's health is so poor and we seldom leave home.

On behalf of the Grenville Technical College Alumni Association, we extend our deepest sympathies to the Miller family. Betty was deeply appreciated as a professor, colleague, and friend to many of us at GTC. Our memories of this lovely lady will live forever!

Sid: Both Sandy and I pass our sincere sympathy to you for the loss of Betty! I don't remember her well but from what I do remember, she was thoughtful, gracious and highly competent.You are in our thoughts and prayers!!!

Sid, I was so sorry to hear about your wife. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Don't hesitate to call if you need anything or just want to talk.

Betty always had a warm smile to offer me no matter what day it might be. And on one of my lowest days she stopped everything to give a smile, and encouraging word, and professional support. There was never a day that she was not supportive.

I'm so grateful to have had Aunt Betty in my life. She was the gold standard in being an aunt. She was generous with her time and affection. She taught me to be creative, curious, and persistent. She modeled the grace and independence of a woman who can excel in her field, travel the world, and tell a fantastic story. But most importantly, I always felt loved when I was with her. She set the bar high for aunt-hood. I can only hope to love my nephews as well as she loved me. I loved her very much and will miss her dearly.

I will never forget my first mentor at GTC. You were very patient, wise and a gifted listener. This world has just lost a wonderful light-until we meet again. My condolences to the family: may you feel God's comfort during this time.

We were saddened to hear of the death of our former colleague and dear friend, Betty. On behalf of the faculty & staff of Greenville Tech's Biological Sciences Department, we extend our deepest sympathy. Betty was admired and respected by both students and faculty. Dear Sid and the Miller family,
Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our dear friend, Betty. You and Betty were the first people that we met when we moved to Dacusville many years ago, and have since been our closest friends. We will miss Betty very much and will always feel her presence and her gracious spirit.

Sid: Perry called me last evening and informed me of Betty's passing. I want to express to you and your family my most sincere sympathies and to let you know I will be unable to attend her service due to my physical inability to do so. I will be there in mind even if not in body and that I considered Betty among my best friends at Tec.

A beloved neighbor, friend, and mentor, "Mrs. Miller", as she was known to myself and my family, will be missed terribly. Her compassion and hospitality never ceased to amaze us, along with her incredible intelligence and insight.

I think that I speak for everyone when I say that she strived to make the world a better place, and promulgated to all, an obligation to keep it that way.

Betty was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She had a way of making people happy around her. I always enjoyed visiting with the two of you at your home and when you came to Brevard. It is a big loss for all of us who knew her.
