Marjorie Locklair Carter Charleston - Marjorie Locklair Carter, 95, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Lloyd C. Carter entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the graveside in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. Marjorie was born January 28, 1922 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Daniel Marion Locklair and Frances Catherine Wise. She was retired from the Charleston County School System and a longtime member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy C. Pierce and son-in-law Edward C. Pierce, three grandchildren, Edward C. Pierce, Jr., (Samantha), Renae P. Welborn (Bobby), and Catherine E. Benjamin, and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice of Charleston, 1885 Rifle Range Road Suite 46, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 or John Wesley United Methodist Church, 626 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29407.
