Alyce, so sorry to hear of Marion's death. He was truly a great man. It was a pleasure working with him and learning from him. Then getting to work with you at the hospital was an added bonus to my life. You both are very special to me.

Our sincere condolences to Mrs. Alyce, the family, and friends of Mr. Marion. He always had an interesting story, bit of news, or offer of help to share over the fence. He was always so kind to our dogs and shared stories of his lab puppy that was so active and bright that he was recruited to train as a working military dog.
When Mr. Marion came outside, he often had a tasty bite ready to share with our pups--and they loved him! When they heard him outside they would ask to go out and would run to the fence to watch him work. Even after we had to limit the girls' cookie intake as they aged, they wanted to go greet him. Polly probably loved him most of all even though she would get excited and bark. She liked yard work and probably wanted to help him with the sticks.

I met Marion a long time ago, in the early 80s. His wife Alyce, and I worked together at the old Fairfield Memorial Hospital. I did Anesthesia at the Hospital, and for a good while, she was the Recovery Room Nurse. We went to many social gatherings, especially around the Holidays. Marion was a fine man. His intellect, and wit far surpassed that of the "average Joe". One would know, after spending a few minutes in his company, just how special of an individual he was. Like him, I agreed on many of his political inclinations, and I enjoyed following him, and his opinions through Social Media. To Alyce, and his daughters...be as strong as he was, and carry on with the genes, and legacy he passed to you!! A great man for sure. I pray you will find comfort during this difficult time in your lives. God Bless you guys...
