Marion Dudley Obituary

DUDLEY, Marion Marion T. Dudley, 84, of Hanahan, husband of Bonnie Dudley, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Hospice of Charleston. Born April 24, 1923, in Summerville, to the late James J. Dudley and Agnes Driggers Dudley. Mr. Dudley was retired from Noland Company where he was a manager with over 20 years of service. He was Navy Veteran having served in WWII. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist, a former mayor of Hanahan serving a 8 year term and a 12 year Hanahan councilman. Survivors include his wife: Bonnie Louise Hathcock Dudley of Hanahan, two sons; Marion T. "Ted" Dudley, Jr., of Summerville, Mark David Dudley of Summerville; five sisters, Harriet Salvo of Mt. Pleasant, Inez Weeks of Mt. Pleasant, Agnes Miller of Mt. Pleasant, Gloria Filiberti of Greenville, SC and Shirley Norris of Richmond, VA, three brothers; Francis Dudley of Charleston, SC, Carl Dudley of Canada, SC, Lewis Dudley of Mt. Pleasant, also included are ten grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Dudley was predeceased by two sons, Richard Dale Dudley and Donald R. Dudley, one brother, James Dudley. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2007, 10 AM at Highland Park Baptist Church, 6211 Murray Avenue, Hanahan, SC. Burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church, Building Fund, 6211 Murray Drive, Hanahan, SC. Arrangements are being handled by CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME.
