Marion DuBois Obituary

Marion Furlong DuBois Kiawah Island - Marion Furlong DuBois, 89, a resident of Kiawah Island, formerly of Pound Ridge, NY died May 16, 2018 at home. She was born July 17, 1928, daughter of the late George and Margaret Furlong and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was a graduate of Albany State Teacher's College (University of New York at Albany). She taught in Margaretville, NY, and Oceanside, NY, prior to becoming a full time homemaker. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Wallace R. DuBois. She is also survived by her daughter, Carol (Jeffrey) Cottrill, Lexington, KY, and three sons, Glenn DuBois, Austin, TX, Brian DuBois, Warrenton, VA, and Gregory (Allison) DuBois, Merritt Island, FL. She is survived by eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a sister and two brothers, one being her twin. Services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. Any memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Crescent Hospice, Charleston Office, 4401 Belle Oaks Drive, Suite 105, Charleston, SC 29405. When we think back on the great fun we all had together, we smile. We remember Marion's laughter and enjoyment of life before her illness. She was a good wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She was special to us and we will miss her. John and Kay
