Marilyn LaPointe Obituary

LaPOINTE, Marilyn Marilyn Louise Rotella LaPointe, 82, of Summerville, SC, wife of Clark Edward LaPointe, Jr., died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at a local hospital. The Memorial Mass will be held Monday morning, April 21, 2008 at St. John The Beloved Catholic Church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John The Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Ave., Summerville, SC 29483 or Meals On Wheels, PO Box 592, Summerville, SC 29484. Mrs. LaPointe was born March 18, 1926 in Niagara Falls, NY, a daughter of Louis Rotella and Carmalita Good Rotella. She served in the US Navy as a Women's Auxiliary Volunteer Enlistee WAVE . She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Clark Edward LaPointe, Jr. of Summerville; two daughters, Dana Miller of Tallahassee, FL and Jo Anne Hubbard of Irmo, SC; one son, Thomas E. LaPointe of Summerville; one sister, Eleanore Wickersham of Summerville; two brothers, Louis Rotella of Niagara Falls, NY and Robert M. Rotella of Summerville; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen D. LaPointe.
