Marie McManus Obituary

Marie McManus YEMASSEE, SC - Marie McManus (Geraldine Marie McManus), 69, of Yemassee, SC, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at her home She was born on June 13, 1952 in Charleston, SC, to Mrs. Geraldine Condon McManus and the late Terence Michael McManus. Marie graduated from Bishop England High School, attended Palmer College and retired from Branch Banking and Trust Company. Marie trusted God to let His Word live through her. Living in this way, she was an example to family and friends. She was a faithful member of the body of Christ serving at Spoken Word Outreach Ministries. Marie was an animal lover extraordinaire, a gardener that could grow anything, and a stained glass professional who did fabulous work just because she loved it. Marie is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth McManus, of Yemassee, SC; mother, Geraldine Condon McManus, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five sisters, Caroline McManus Young (Bruce), Lucy McManus Burnett (John), Jeannie McManus Langley (Furman), Mary McManus Dennis (Don), Clare McManus Blackwell Reuther (John); four brothers, Terence M. McManus, Jr. (Pat), Thomas J. McManus, Joseph W.McManus (Beth), and William C. McManus, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving father, Terence M. McManus, her brother, Peter C. McManus, and nephew, Christopher R. Young. The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health and Hospice Services for the loving care they provided to Marie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 2:00 at Spoken Word Outreach Ministries at 42 Keans Neck Road, Lobeco, SC. A live broadcast of the funeral service will be shown on the church facebook page at Spoken Word Outreach Ministries. A burial at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date. Marie was a delightful, strong and very talented lady. I have several of her stained glass pieces, I loved her work! She also has a beautiful family that we love dearly, our thoughts and prayers for you all

Marie was a loyal friend to me when I was in a rough time at 18 years of age. I never saw her again, but reading this, it sounds like she met the Lord Jesus Christ and was born again and followed him. I will see her in Heaven! Be comforted!
