Marie Brunner Obituary

Marie A. Brunner CLAYTON, NC - Marie A. Brunner, of Marlton, NJ, died on April 22, 2022 at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh, NC. She was a resident of Clayton, NC for the last seven months. Marie was born in Philadelphia, PA - the second child of Edna and Joseph Ward, on June 13, 1936. She attended the Syracuse, NY convent school with aspirations of becoming a Roman Catholic Nun. After her novitiate of three years, she left the convent school. She met John, her husband to be, and they were married on June 26, 1959. John taught secondary school for 29 years and during the summer managed The Harbor Inn located in Stone Harbor, NJ for 34 years. Together they were blessed with five beloved children: John, Michael, Margaret, Patrick and Paul. Marie also adored her siblings. She is survived by her five children, brothers, Joseph, Thomas and James, her sister, Patricia and her eleven precious grandchildren: John, Ellen, Quin, Mikayla, Robby, Kate, Charlie, Alex, Abby, Joseph and Alice. The burial and a brief blessing will be held at the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery located in Cherry Hill, NJ on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 1pm. Finally, a Mass to honor her life will celebrated at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church located in Marlton, NJ at a date to be determined. Relatives and friends are invited to honor Marie's exemplary life in their own way. The family requests that no flowers or donations are necessary.
