Maribel Wilkes Obituary

WILKES, Maribel Maribel Lundy Wilkes, 64, of Summerville, wife of Adolphus Buddy Lee Wilkes, died Friday morning, November 7, 2008. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 3 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 61, Charleston. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 o'clock this evening. Flowers will be accepted. Mrs. Wilkes was born May 5, 1944 in Horry County, daughter of the late Carl Oscar Lundy and Lucille Hyman Lundy of Moncks Corner. She was a graduate of Aynor High School and Palmer College. She retired from the Medical University of South Carolina as records manager for 31 years. She was a member of North Trident Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two sons, Dennis R. White, Jr. and his wife Paula of Moncks Corner and Mark H. White and his wife Denise of Knightsville; one stepson, Tucker J. Wilkes of Charleston; one stepdaughter, Allison Clark and her husband Andy of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Jeanette O'Neal and her husband Phillip of Summerville; five grandchildren, Matthew, Blane, Megan, Tyler and Anson.
