Marian Tarcen Obituary

Marian A. Tarcen, of The Hill on Fairview, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026. She was born on March 2, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Frank G. Allston and Doris S. Allston.

Marian was the heart and matriarch of her family. Family always came first, and she took great joy in caring for those she loved. She found great joy in gardening and tending to her flowers and plants. Marian was a devoted member of Christ Church in Adams Run, South Carolina, where her faith guided her life and relationships. Marian will be remembered for her kind spirit, generous heart, and caring nature.

She is survived by her loving children: Mark Coolidge and Greg Coolidge (Janet); her siblings: Mike Allston (Linda), Francis Allston (Marsha), and Marty Bell (Jimmy); as well as numerous beloved extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 12pm to 1pm at Christ St. Paul's Church Hollywood, 4981 Chapel Road, Hollywood, SC 29449. The funeral service will begin at 1pm in the Church. Burial will immediately follow at Christ Church Cemetery, 5115 SC-174 Hollywood, SC 29449.
