Marian Lewis Obituary

Marian Elizabeth Lewis HANAHAN - Marian Elizabeth Cadwallader Lewis, 81, the widow of James Edwin Lewis, of Hanahan, SC died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at the Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Born May 29, 1929, in Wellsville, PA, Marian was the daughter of James Clair and Florence Goodyear Cadwallader. She retired from the medical field. She will be deeply missed by her two sons, David Lewis and James Lewis; two daughters, Diane Ervin, Charlotte, NC and Louise Geiss, Cary, NC; brother, Francis Cadwallader of Harrisburg, PA; sister, Jean Messinger, Hamburg, PA; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Lloyd Cadwallader. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2011, in the chapel of J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC 29406. Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Patterson Cemetery in Loris, SC under the direction of Hardwick Funeral Home, 4831 E. Main, Loris, SC 29569.
