Marguerite Scott Obituary

Marguerite McBeth Scott CHARLESTON - Mrs. Marguerite McBeth Scott, 84, of Charleston, SC, wife of Mr. Richard L. Scott, Jr., passed away Friday morning, August 8, 2025 at her residence. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in The Palmetto Mortuary Memorial Chapel. Friends and family may visit at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church, 44 Nassau St., Charleston, SC 29403 on Friday evening, August 15, 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Mrs. Scott will be laid to rest in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. She leaves to cherish her memories; her children, Dierdre L. Scott, sons, Richard L. Scott, III (Diana), and Gurnal L. Scott (Karen) She was preceded in death by one sibling; Shelia McBeth Johnson and grandson, Tre Scott-Johnson. She is survived by her brothers, Harold McBeth, Jr. and Clarence McBeth of Charleston, SC, her sisters, Vivian Johnson of New York, NY, Trudy Barkley of El Paso, TX, Florence McBeth of Fort Mill, SC and Deborah Felder (Mallory) of Charlotte, NC, her grandchildren, Audrey Scott and Morgan Scott, great-granddaughter, Ariyana Scott and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
