Marguerite Cormier Obituary

BOSCAWEN - Marguerite Cormier, 68, of Boscawen, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, following a period of declining health.

She was born in Quebec, Canada, on July 14, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph and Cordelia (Rousseau) Godbout. She moved to the United States as a young girl and later spent 20 years as a factory worker, manufacturing shoes.

Marguerite loved owls, rock 'n' roll music, enjoyed dancing and singing, and she always had a story to tell. One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards (rummy and bingo). She found Christ in the late 1980s and became a born-again Christian in 1990.

She is survived by one sister, Yvette Jalbert of Burlington, Vt.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Rosaire Cormier; three brothers Conrad, Leo and Real Godbout; and one sister, Jeannette Godbout.
