Marguerite Appleby Obituary

APPLEBY, Marguerite KINGSTREE - Marguerite Appleby, 94, died Monday, November 6, 2006. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Williamsburg Cemetery in Kingstree, conducted by her nephew, The Rev. Paul C. Fuener, Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church. Mrs. Appleby was born on June 6, 1912; a daughter of the late John Arthur and Elizabeth Eason McCullough. She was an honor graduate of Winthrop University. She was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, The Mayflower Society, The Huguenot Society, The Daughters of The American Revolution, and The Garden Club of Kingstree. She was the widow of Thomas Joseph Appleby and the mother of Elizabeth Eason Appleby Hudson. Surviving is her son-in-law, Asbury Lawton Hudson of Charleston; her nieces, Mary Elizabeth Gaskin, Rebecca McCullough Fuener, Shuri McCullough Speed, Sandra McCullough Banks, and Mary Coleman McCullough Hale; her nephews, Hugh Chapman Gaskin, III, Alton Hale McCullough, Jr., and John Arthur McCullough. The family will receive visitors at her home in Kingstree after the service. Memorials may be made to Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, 411 N.
