She moved to Summerville in her early years. To come here left behind many fears. The fear of no roots in any one place. This town brought joy that could be seen in her face. The corner of Linwood and West Carolina was her home.It was where her roots would start and she knew she'd never roam. The wisteria draped the vines hung low.She used it as a swing in the summer when the days were slow.A big swing on the porch would always make the clock stand still. To swing forward you could smell the yellow jasmine at will.Oh,that feeling of strolling down the street named Sumter Avenue. The homes are grand and the flowers-oh my-what a view.In all the homes none of the furniture matched. All odd pieces and antiques imagine that.About fifty some years passed since the memories did start,Back then she town would never part,so here she is 85 and in the Lords hands now.

Marge,There will be one brighter star in the heavens tonight because God brought you home. We were friends for many years, I was blessed to know you. The love in your heart had to shared by many, family, friends, and you loving little pets. You always had a smile on your face. When I think of you from today, I will remember your lovely smile, and my heart will warm. Thank you for being my friend. May the angels smile because you near. Love Sally

God Speed Marge. You had a great spirit, and I always admired it. You had an incredibly huge heart for animals. You would often take them in the car with you around town, and I remember you talking to Ming one of your cats like she was one of your kids. You loved your children very much, and I know your grandchildren gave you much joy. That we were able to have a friendship despite many difficulties spoke volumes about how we felt. Heaven is much brighter today with you as an angel. You will always be fondly remembered. Love, Sarah

Michael and family:
I never had the honor to meet your mother; however, knowing you and how thoughtful and kind you are to others is a true reflection of the ways your mother reared you. It is sad that she is gone. Please remember the good times, the kindness, and standards she taught you and please know Phil and I share with you in deepest sympathy. Never is it easy to lose a parent. Focus on the good times and all that she taught you as a child and adult. My heart breaks to know of your loss.
Barbie Perkins-Cooper, and Phil
