Margaret Russell Obituary

Margaret Russell Russellville, SC - Margaret Frances Honeycutt Russell, 87, of Hanahan, SC, formerly of Russellville, former owner and operator of Russell's Super Market, died Friday afternoon at her residence. Her funeral will be 4:00 PM Monday afternoon, March 4, 2019, in the Russellville Christian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the CHURCH from 2:30 PM until the hour of service on Monday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Russellville Christian Church, 1681 Highway 35, St. Stephen, SC 29479. Mrs. Russell was born October 22, 1931, in Meridian, MS, a daughter of Clesby Marion Honeycutt and Annie Lora Smith Honeycutt. She was a member of the Russellville Christian Church and was baptized in Goodwater Baptist Church in Meehan, MS. Mrs. Russell was a member of the Morning Star Chapter 121 OES, and she enjoyed gardening and anything to do with cooking and baking such as cakes and pies. She was a sweet and caring woman whose main focus was her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Russell was the widow of John Malcolm Russell, Jr. Surviving are, two daughters, Rose Roberts and her husband, Michael, of Atlanta, and Margaret Ramsey of Hanahan; three sons, John Malcolm Russell, III, and his wife, Cindy, and David Walter Russell and his wife, Mary, all of Russellville, and Robert Gene Russell of Hanahan; a sister, Jean Gaston of Goose Creek; a brother, Norman Honeycutt of Bonneau; six grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.
