Margaret Patz Obituary

Margaret Patz WALTERBORO - Mrs. Margaret Ann Escoffier Patz, 76, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday morning, September 13, 2024, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Mr. Ryland Ashur Patz, who preceded her in death on April 5, 2024. Born February 5, 1948 in Mexia, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Robert Jewels Escoffier and the late Ruby Nette Gibson Escoffier. She worked along a dedicated career in the banking and finance industry. She worked for both Merrill Lynch and retired as a Loan Officer with Bank of America. Surviving are: two children, Ralph E. Massenburg, III (Carol Cannon) of Meggett, and Renee M. White (Eddie Bessinger) of Walterboro; four grandchildren, Joseph White (Haley Felder) of Walterboro, Amelia White of Walterboro, Justin Massenburg of Parkers Ferry, and Austin Massenburg (Anna) of Meggett; two great- grandchildren; Fin Massenburg and Makenize Massenburg; and a sister, Mary E. Hicks. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert J. Escoffier. A celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2024, from Salem United Methodist Church, 7191 Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro.
