Margaret Harkins N. CHARLESTON - Entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning, July 16, 2011, Margaret "June" Jones Harkins, widow of Lester E. Harkins Jr. Residence North Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Margaret Harkins are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Ten o'clock AM at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at the funeral home from Five until Seven o'clock PM. June was born July 14, 1925 in New Marshfield, OH a daughter of the late William B. Jones and Birdeth Mace Jones Chesser. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and The Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 277. She is survived by her daughters; Sandra K. Beaver of Aliquippia, PA, and Deborah J. McElhaney of Columbus, OH, a sister Selba J. Starkey, of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Melissa Lynn Muller, Jodi Lynn Harrelson, Tina Sonja Harkins, Jessica and Jean Beatty, and great-grandchildren, Steven Christopher Harkins, Hayley Elizabeth Lewis, Rebecca Jean Schutte, Emily Lynn Allen, Christopher Allen Beatty Jr. and Noah David Beatty. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Lester E. Harkins Jr., a son Dennis J. Harkins and a brother Lindy A. Jones.
