Margaret Greenberg Obituary

Margaret Greenberg Charleston - Margaret Ann Greenberg, 80, of Charleston, SC, wife of Samuel Carl Greenberg, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 15, 2021. Her funeral will be held at 12:00 pm, Sunday, March 21, 2021, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414. The family asks for everyone to wear masks and follow Covid-19 safety protocols. There will be a reception for the immediate family following the graveside service. Margaret Ann was born January 16, 1941 in Sumter, SC, a daughter of the late Raymond White and Margaret Singletary White. Ann attended grade school at John de la Howe in McCormick, SC and received her Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering with honors from Trident Technical College. She was a devoted mother and, after raising her three children, Ann went back to school and obtained her license as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS). She was one of the first women in the state to obtain this certification. She worked as a Civil Engineering Technician for Charleston County and retired in 2003. Ann was a talented homemaker, decorator, and enjoyed house plan design. She designed, contracted, and decorated several additions to her home. Ann loved large family gatherings, she was exceptional at organizing dinner parties and known for her cooking and baking skills. At one time she worked from home, baking incredible multi-layered cakes for some of Charleston's finest restaurants. She was always ready to prepare a feast for all holidays and any other occasion large or small. This was her way of celebrating life and family. She will be remembered as a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Along with her husband of 54 years, she is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Jerry) Martin; her sons, Robert (Tina) Ahlemann, Jr., and Jack (Beth LeBlanc) Greenberg; her grandchildren, Christopher (Michele) Billings, John (Richelle) Greenberg, Jared Mathews, and Chelsea Ahlemann; great-grandsons, Thomas Billings and Hunter Billings; her sisters, Betty McElveen, Linda Macaw, and numerous nieces and nephews.
