Marcia McManigal Obituary

Marcia McManigal Summerville - Marcia Joyce McManigal, 80, of Summerville, SC, died Tuesday, June 29th, at the Roper Hospice Cottage in Mount Pleasant, SC. Born Nov. 23, 1941, in Miami, OK, she is the daughter of the late Arthur Holcomb and Lavenia (Nixon) Holcomb. Marcia was a compassionate spirit who, along with her late husband, David, was instrumental in the creation of the Tres Dias Christian community, a member of the Fraternal Order of Sisterhood (OK), and served on the board of the Port Ewen Library (NY.) She was predeceased by her husband, David, in 2011; and her sister, Jane Smith, in 2021. Survivors include her children, Michael and Paul (Michelle) McManigal of Summerville, SC, and Susan McManigal of Saugerties, NY. She is also survived by her brothers, Ted and Don Holcomb, and a sister, Charlotte Clark. A proud grandmother, she leaves behind Krystal (Randy) Musselman, Kevin (Amanda) and Kyle (Kelsey) McManigal of SC, Joyce (Ryan) Gregoire, Christian Hausermann, and Ethan Kleinke, of NY; as well as step-grandchildren, Danielle (Matthew) Harvey, Christopher, Chloe, and Brooke Yarwood of SC; and many dearly loved great-grandchildren. Marcia's memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 5th, at the Parks Funeral Home in Summerville, SC.
