Marcia Hessert Obituary

We were at BDC last night and I talked to Sharon about still missing Marcia after all this time. There is a great picture on the wall right over the reception desk - keeping an eye on us!

We think of Marcia often. She was one of a kind and we miss her.

We miss you dearest friend. We often recall all our times together, and what a comfort to have those memories - they always leave us smiling.

It's been a year but we still think of Marcia often and always with a smile.

I just came across Marcia's obituary so sad to see. All my sympathy and prayers to her family.
I grew with Marcia we had so much fun in school growing up in the Coal Region and the Patches in Pa.

We loved Marcia. She will be greatly missed.

Marcia, we are going to miss you so much. Nobody knew parties like you and nobody had your spark. Thank you so much for organizing and managing parties, snacks and all the other things which made Ballroom Dance so special. We will miss your flair for design and decorations and your knowledge of our events. And speaking of Flair, no one had your flair for dress. Your idea of dressing down was others' idea of dressing up. We love you and miss you but know you are ready for the Next Dance.

One of my best friends growing up from 1st to 12th grade. So many good and happy memories together. I was so looking forward to wishing Marcia a happy birthday and very sad to hear of her passing. Sending condolences to her sons, Michele, Deborah, and Mickey.

I was so shocked to hear Marcia had left us. She was so full of life. The Dance Club will never be the same without her. Condolences to her whole family . RIP Marcia.

Marcia was so very special to hundreds of people but to Ballroom Dance Charleston, she was the Queen. It was sheer joy to watch her transform a plain room into a beautiful and festive place to be -- all without any plan at all. She called it "fly by the seat of my pants" -- I call it genius. We are so happy to have had Marcia in our lives and will remember her with a smile.

How delightful it has been knowing Marcia. The many trips and adventures I shared with her will always hold excellent memories.
On one occasion in Myrtle Beach I neglectfully locked her and Michele out of the condo.
Marcia was so gracious in forgiving me. However, to this day, I will forever be relieved of possessing any room keys.
I always marveled at the caravans the Stetts family would make during the holidays. I know that family love will hold comfort for you all.

I am so very sad. I knew Marcia from our love of ballroom dancing. She will be so missed by all who knew her from the Ballroom Dance community. She was such a vibrant ray of sunshine. The Ballroom Dance Club will not be the same without her.

I am so sorry we have lost Marcia. I didn´t know her well, but I do know she was a lovely woman with a loving spirit that I shall not forget. I send prayers for her family.

Just wanted to let you know what an extraordinary woman you're mom was. I got to know her when we worked together at Palmetto Pathways and her positive attitude and upbeat personality was incredible. I loved our honest talks and loved her passion was ballroom dancing. She was a true treasure.

Marcia you were my Hero! Your love of life, smile and style glowed from within. Your presence was felt wherever you were. You will always make me smile and be thankful for the memories of times we shared. You will always be my Hero! May you now Dance every day.

Was so saddened to read of Marcia's passing. She was such a unique person. I worked with her at the Institute of Psychiatry. We worked on different floors but we were like family. She was a petite powerhouse when she needed to be. She was such a personable lady with such class, sparkling smile, and fashion sense. Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers to her family. She's in heaven with my oldest brother Steve who also worked with her. May God Bless.

Marcia and I were co-workers many years ago on 10W. She is one you do not ever forget. Her charm, wit, compassion, kindness, and style leaves a f memory that can always bring a smile. I am sorry for the loss of your mother, grandmother, and sister. Praying that you find comfort loving memories.

Knew your mom/gram way back when (the early/mid 60s) and as most people to remain in our home town, lost track of her when she went to school in Phillie . . . BUT when I worked for Ashland Regional Medical Center (ARMC) a nurse who also knew her asked me to get in touch and see if she would move back, alas I was unable to get an address or even a phone number and back then we did not have the computers we have today. So all/ALL I can say as a friend from 50+ years ago, SHE will be missed. I will take out a memorial with the Heart Association and the Local Frackville Library. God Bless and know her memory will stay with US until we meet again in Heaven!

Dear Marcia. John and I will always remember and cherish your welcoming us into the dance club 4 years ago. You have always been a tireless advocate of the dance club, and your generous and positive spirit set a tone in the club that made it an inviting and thoroughly enjoyable experience. How many decorations did you hang? How many refreshments did you purchase? How many smiles did you share with us? We will miss you and will keep you in our hearts as we dance again.

We will miss her sexy little walk, her dramatic style, her smile, her spiky hairdos and her contagious laugh. One of my favorite memories was Marcia's 40th birthday. She was the first if us to hit that milestone. We all wore bright red t-shirts that shouted Lordy, Lordy Marcia's 40! A fun night shared with friends and her terrific sister and partner at Marcheles, Michelle! Love you and will miss you Marcia
