Ms. M. Anne Cook
January 3, 2020
To The Family of the late Mr. Marcellus L. Carter, c/o nephew, Mr. Raymond Alston (Mary), I extend my sincere condolences upon hearing of his transition. Recalling, how Mr. Carter could be heard "tickling the ivories," same could be said for his sister, the late Mrs. Vermell Alston who could be heard doing the same, with her having taught piano lessons and also cause for more reminiscing due to her, at one point having been "roommates" with my mother at a medical facility at the time.
This also harkens to a period when my mother, and I as a youngster, would perform piano duets while in "look-alike" dresses in piano recitals of the late Mrs. Irline F. Wong, at my "home church." Anyone who knows me well, is cognizant of my affinity and penchant for music. Even as this school term got underway, I was teaching music in school(s). Mr. Marcellus' melodious tones and tunes will be sorely missed.
I'll continue to pray for the family.
Prayerfully,
Benzenia(Bambi) Hart

To the family of the Late Marcellus Carter it has truly been a blessing to me and my family to have him as a true friend. He was always there to help whenever he could when he was not at the Holiday Inn Riverview. I will miss that short guy. I am sure he is resting peacefully in his new home where there is no more pain and no more suffering. It is my prayer that God gives all of you what you need as you say good-bye to this great man.
