Charleston - The relatives and friends of Mr. Maliciah Sumter are invited to attend his Funeral Service 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 19, 2018, at New Zion Reformed Methodist Union Episcopal Church, 4607 Dorsey Avenue, North Charleston, SC. Interment - New Zion RMUE Church Cemetery, North Charleston, SC. Wake Service will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the church; family hour from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Mr. Sumter leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Ruth E. Sumter; sons, Randy V. Sumter, Sr. (Sharon), Anthony Sumter, Sr. (Donna) and Zawaski J. Sumter (LaVon); daughter-in-law, Pamela Sumter; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman Sumter and Jeremiah Sumter (Katherine); sisters-in-law, Marguerite Sumter, Ernestine Sumter, Betty Sumter, Juldene Sumter, Barbara Sumter, Dorothy Washington; Linda Gass (Kenneth); Naomi Young (Robert); brothers-in-law, Raymond Gadsden (Clara) and Ronald Gadsden; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Maliciah V. Sumter, Jr.; brothers, James Sumter, John Sumter, Willis Sumter, Benjamin Sumter and Albert Sumter; brother-in-law, Roland Washington.
